Required Qualifications:
* At least three years of experience with basic information security practices and controls OR relevant formal education or certifications.
* Demonstrate ability and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
* Experience with writing and executing query or scripting languages.
* Self-directed in prioritizing tasks and communicating in an efficient and professional manner.
* Experience working collaboratively across distributed teams.
* Ability to adapt in a constantly changing and diverse environment.
* Experience operating and using established technical process workflows.
* Advanced analytic and strategic thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in computer science, network security, information security, or related field is preferred OR three or more years of experience working in the information technology field.
* CompTIA Security+, (ISC)2 SSCP, or comparable security-related certification such as the relevant technical certification in PeopleSoft Security to be obtained within the probationary period.
* Enterprise Resource Planning systems experience.
Principal duties:
Operational Security Processing (70%)
* Establish, document, implement and operate based on security standards that align with application, system or campus policies.
* Design and document internal workflows for managing the work requests.
* Coordinate with distributed communities to identify and implement security change requests that support enterprise applications.
* Coordinate with distributed communities process for completing privilege management and other audits.
* Triage security configuration issues.
* Coordinate and operate testing of security controls.
* Coordinate and conduct periodic reviews and updates of change procedures and processes.
* Create, document, test and maintain processes relating to security change management and security testing procedures for enterprise applications.
* Monitor and report on the status of operational activities to technical peer and management.

Coordination of Security Program Activates (10%)
* Coordinate security training and awareness efforts for enterprise applications with the Security Education Awareness and Training coordinator.
* Coordinate with Governance, Risk Management and Compliance, and other stakeholders to prioritize, plan, develop, implement, and operate security controls that reduce cybersecurity risks.
* Coordinate and implement security initiatives as new requirements are identified based on evolving operational situation and emerging threat scenarios.

Monitoring and Reporting (10%)
* Monitor and respond to security events related to enterprise applications.
* Monitor, track and report on emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
* Analyze change records to identify trends that may require action.
* Establish, test and maintain documentation relating to monitoring and reporting processes.

Communication, Training and Other (10%)
* Stay current with trends and events relating to cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and higher education.
* Attend training sessions and workshops to increase knowledge of information security, enterprise systems, written and oral communications, and project management.
* Work with technologists to gain knowledge of new and developing technologies.
* Work toward obtaining relevant Cybersecurity certifications.
* Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, ethical practices, and DoIT's mission and foundational principles.
* Other duties as assigned.
