Candidates are required to have an earned doctorate or equivalent in educational leadership, educational policy, elementary/secondary/education, or related field, e.g. sociology or economics of education.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
The successful candidate will join a faculty committed to equity and diversity by developing leadership capacity in schools and districts focused on maximizing student learning and educational opportunity. We are especially interested in candidates who use quantitative research methods to problem-solve in schools and districts.

Candidates should demonstrate the capacity for excellence in teaching, research and publication, doctoral advising, and professional service focused on preK-12 administration and leadership that advances learning and expands educational opportunity for all students. This could include work focusing on leadership, policy, data-based decision making, planning, evaluation, economics of education, and systems change.

We seek a range of candidates, including recent doctoral graduates as well as individuals with a range of professional experiences. Publication and teaching records will be evaluated in light of previous experience.

Principal duties:
1. Build and maintain a nationally recognized research program;
2. Regularly seek external funding;
3. Teach courses in face-to-face and on-line formats;
4. Advise and mentor master's and doctoral students;
5. Participate in faculty governance and provide committee service associated with departmental, School of Education, and university membership;
6. Contribute professionally to educational leadership at the local, state, and national levels.
