Working Title:
Assistant Professor in Environmental Process Engineering
Official Title:
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR(C40NN)
Degree and area of specialization:
PhD in Civil Engineering or closely related field and demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.
 
  
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Desired areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, hybrid electrochemical and microbial pathways for water or wastewater treatment and/or resource recovery, desalination and membrane technologies for potable water production, and novel processes for chemical production or resource recovery. Candidates with expertise in other areas of environmental engineering also will be considered.

Post-doctoral experience, professional experience, and a professional engineering license are desirable, but not required.
Principal duties:
Applicants are expected to develop innovative and internationally recognized research programs, contribute to scholarly work in Civil and Environmental Engineering, undertake instruction in undergraduate and graduate classes, and engage in professional service. The successful candidate is expected to develop interactions with other faculty on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus including those within the College of Engineering and other colleges.
