Working Title:
Virologist working on RNA biology - Cluster Hire
Official Title:
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR(C40NN)
Degree and area of specialization:
Applicants must have a PhD in a biological or relevant physical science. The area of focus includes the study of RNA biology in the context of viral infection.
 
  
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Candidates should display a productive record of established scholarship of national and international significance in RNA biology during viral infection, including, but not limited to, RNA structural analysis, epitranscriptomics, and RNA-protein interactions. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
Principal duties:
1. Carry out a vigorous, collaborative, externally funded research program at the forefront of RNA biology and virology.

2. Teach undergraduate, graduate and professional students in the tenure home departmental curricula.

3. Contribute and participate in professional, university, and community service appropriate to rank.
