Working Title:
Hospitalist - Continuous Opening/Multiple Positions Available
Official Title:
PROFESSOR (CHS)(D01NN) or ASSOC PROFESSOR (CHS)(D02NN) or ASST PROFESSOR (CHS)(D03NN) or CLINICAL PROFESSOR(D51NN) or CLINICAL ASSOC PROF(D52NN) or CLINICAL ASST PROF(D53NN)
Degree and area of specialization:
MD or DO, or equivalent; Internal Medicine
  License/certification:
 Eligible for Wisconsin medical license. Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Candidates for Associate or full Professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for Clinical or CHS track.
Principal duties:
For Clinical Teacher (CT) position - The incumbent will be expected to provide clinical patient care, admitting and managing hospital inpatients, including serving as staff to pre-op evaluation clinic, post-discharge rapid follow-up clinic. The incumbent will also provide medical consultation within the hospital; teach residents, medical students, fellows in relation to patients on the hospitalist service; and participate in system-wide quality improvement projects at UW Health approved locations.

For Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) position - The incumbent will be expected to provide clinical patient care, admitting and managing hospital inpatients, including serving as staff to pre-op evaluation clinic, post-discharge rapid follow-up clinic. The incumbent will also provide medical consultation within the hospital; teach residents, medical students, fellows in relation to patients on the hospitalist service; and participate in system-wide quality improvement projects at UW Health approved locations. Participation in research endeavors of the Division expected.
