Distinguished academic record in the research area of hard material synthesis and their engineering applications, exceptional potential for world-class high-impact research and a commitment to both undergraduate and graduate instruction. For more senior applicants, an outstanding reputation in the field of specialty is a prime requirement.

Candidates for this tenured positon (associate or full professor) must have an outstanding scientific background and excellent academic credentials that is consistent with a tenured faculty appointment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Candidates must have demonstrated high quality research with publications in top journals, a promising vision for research in Chemical and Biological Engineering.
  Position Summary:
 The Chemical and Biological Engineering Department has a long tradition of academic excellence in research and teaching. Principal duties:
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering seeks faculty candidates with a research focus on hard material synthesis, to enhance present departmental strengths in research and teaching in this area. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a world-class research program in hard materials synthesis and their engineering applications, provide undergraduate and graduate instruction and teaching in areas of technical competence, and to engage in public service as appropriate.
