Position Summary:
Travels across Wisconsin to set up sites and obtain and process blood and other biological specimens from study participants following established protocol. Collects additional survey information as needed. Provides team leadership for other phlebotomists, including assisting with training and quality assurance.

Principal duties:
RESP 1: Obtains and processes blood, other biological specimens, and physical measurements from study participants as required by the study - 55%
RESP 2: Prepares specimens for shipping or transport according to study protocol - 5%
RESP 3: Provides in-home sample collection for participants unable to travel to sample collection site - 5%
RESP 4: Obtains and processes data and paperwork for study participants with timeliness and accuracy - 5%
RESP 5: Follows study guidelines regarding the treatment of human subjects, verifying informed consent and collecting additional information and materials as prescribed by study - 5%
RESP 6: Transport supplies, equipment, dry ice and samples, and set up and take down temporary lab sites - 10%
RESP 7: Assist with administrative and lab task as needed, such as assembly of phlebotomy supply kits, recording samples stored in -80 freezers, data entry, and other office tasks - 5%
RESP 8: Assist with other research tasks such as phone recruitment, interviews, set up of studies - 5%
RESP 9: Provide team leadership for other phlebotomists, assisting with training and quality assurance - 5%
