Position Summary:
This position will create digital content drawn chiefly from WPR's daily on-air talk shows ¿ extending each show's reach beyond a broadcast audience. The position will coordinate with broadcast production teams and the WPR Digital Content Team and serve as an essential champion for digital audiences. This position reports to the Director of Digital Media.

Principal duties:
1. Write articles (drawn primarily from WPR's Ideas Network, which produces daily statewide talk shows, for publishing to; identify potential stories from on-air material produced by other teams; integrate images, audio, video and links to other content and/or resources into articles as appropriate.
2. Regularly contribute to WPR projects and partner collaborations as directed. Also contribute to WPR-wide series or other special initiatives.
3. Occasionally pitch, research and report original content for digital and radio partners.
4. Create photo galleries, graphics, data visualizations, tables, extra audio, video, etc. to enhance digital content.
5. Participate in daily and weekly editorial meetings with colleagues to discuss topics, guests and online content. Train members of those teams to grow their own digital capabilities and fluency.
6. Participate in daily and weekly consultations with the WPR Digital Content Team to talk about content/digital strategies and ongoing collaborative efforts.
7. Stay current on best practices in digital journalism and recommend ways to enhance WPR¿s offerings.
8. Maintain extensive knowledge of issues, events and newsmakers across the state.

10. Effectively engage diverse perspectives and experiences in all workplace interactions and demonstrate respect for others in all workplace relationships.
11. Other duties as assigned.
