Position Summary:
The Center for Healthy Minds is seeking an Education Program Coordinator to assist with and help coordinate program communications, outreach, event planning, the writing of funding proposals, course administration and the further development and facilitation of campus and community relationships for The Loka Initiative and the Student Flourishing in Higher Education program area.

Principal duties:
The position will be split as follows - 50% Higher Education/Student Flourishing duties and 50% Loka Initiative duties.

Higher Education/Student Flourishing - Art and Science of Human Flourishing (ASHF) Duties:

20% ASHF Course Administration
Coordinates class scheduling, instructor hiring, special discussion sections and enrollment criteria with cross-listed academic departments; coordinates external user access to Canvas demo course and related work.

25% Campus relations, course promotion and fundraising
Supports expansion of campus partnerships including key student facing units and student organizations; works with CHM communications team to regularly update ASHF promotional materials, promotes to campus advising community and creates a campus social media presence; assists Director on tasks related to communications and fundraising.

5% Coordination with CHM Research Team
Coordinates with research team as it pertains to ongoing and new research studies related to ASHF course that may include planning and managing student focus groups and connecting between different research and communications projects.

Loka Initiative Duties:

20% Loka Capacity Building Convenings and Public Events (3 per year on average)
Helps develop, organize and lead event planning processes for capacity building and public outreach programs, including coordinating with external and internal partners, and supporting social media and follow up activities.

15% Loka Course Administration:
Supports research and coordination of speaker and lecture series, works with cross-listed departments on class scheduling and enrollment, and contributes to the development of online courses.

15% Loka Program Responsibilities
Assists Director and collaborates with supporting teams on tasks related to communications and outreach, fundraising, and science research.
