Position Summary:
A Research Specialist position is available in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Research Group. Our mission is to enhance personalized treatments of musculoskeletal injuries and disease. The successful candidate for this position will actively participate in research and will be responsible for the design, fabrication, and execution of mechanical testing. These projects will include those within the lab as well as collaborative projects with other research and clinical faculty, residents, and fellows in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.

Principal duties:
Principal duties:

1. Assist with design and fabrication of fixtures for conducting mechanical testing.

2. Assist with design and execution of testing protocols.

3. Assist with design and fabrication of custom parts for ongoing human and animal testing.

4. Assist with processing and analysis of data collected during testing.

5. Assist with research projects as determined by principal investigators.

6. Attend regular meetings with clinical and research personnel.

7. Perform equipment calibration, validation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

8. Other duties as required
