Position Summary:
This position provides a wide variety of human resource activities for assigned departments in the areas of recruitment, payroll, training and general administrative support to the College of Letters & Science Human Resources Office. This position advises departmental representatives on rules, regulations, policies and procedures in the areas noted above to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing. Maintains personnel records and required documentation and assists with work unit operational policy development.
The College has approximately 90 departments, centers and support units. The College employs 1700 graduate assistants, 800 academic staff and limited employees, 350 university and university fixed term staff, 150 temporary employees, 175 employees-in-training and more than 500 student hourly appointments.

Principal duties:
40%- Executes and audits work transactions and changes adhering to established policies and procedures to meet deadlines in the area of recruitment, position management, and payroll for academic staff (non-STS), university staff, temporary employees, limited staff, and employees-in-training for assigned units.
40%- Receives, responds to, and resolves questions and problems in the area of recruitment, position management, and payroll for academic staff (non-STS), university staff, temporary employees, limited staff, and employees-in-training for assigned units.
10%- Provides analytics, and/or relevant materials to others as needed; maintains personnel files, communications, and required documentation for work unit through various mediums.
5%- Represents unit/program at institutional workshops, informational meetings, and training sessions
5%- Contributes to the development, implementation, interpretation, and revision of work unit human resources policies and procedures
