Job Summary:The Cereals Breeding and Quantitative Genetics is a new and exciting group led by professor Lucia Gutierrez, who is studying the genetics of complex traits with state of the art genomic and phenotyping tools in oats, wheat and barley.

This program is part of the Agronomy Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is hiring the Research Gardener position to assist with activities related with cereals research experiments.

Hours may fluctuate throughout the year, with up to 30 hours during peak seasonal times, as dictated by the laboratory's needs. Daily hours on days worked is expected to be 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, including an unpaid 30 minute lunch period.
