Title Specifications

Job Summary:This position requires excellent administrative, organizational, oral, and written communication, as well as computer and interpersonal skills. The position carries out the complex duties set forth in arranging for referral appointments for consultations and testing at outside clinics and within UHS. This may require complex assessment of patients' conditions or circumstances, abiltiy to pay, and knowledge of local health care resources. This position has the unique responsibility to follow through with all responsibilities related to referral appointments, including tracking patient appointments, consultation reports and preparing QI reports related to referrals. This position requires independent planning and decision-making processes, as well as requiring coordination of student patient schedules, insurance information, and outside clinic expectations. This position interfaces with outside physicians, nurses, and clinical personnel locally and regionally. This position demonstrates a high-degree of confidentiality regarding all written and oral interactions, and is under general supervision at the senior level.
