Title Specifications

Job Summary:This position is responsible for independently performing technical responsibilities in support of the School of Veterinary Medicine's Histopathology Laboratory. The position requires the ability to work within a team setting; both with co-workers in histology and with the various clients who submit specimens fo processing. Prepares and processes tissues to produce quality histologic slides employing a variety of histology techniques in a high volume central histopathology laboratory. Tissue processes may require specialized handling techniques (i.e. eyes, bone, etc.). Performs both routine, special staining procedures. This position requires extensive independent judgement and responsibility with limited supervision.
