TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT


The University of Wisconsin-Madison supports the pursuit of excellence in teaching, research and service by providing professional development and services to meet individual, group and organizational needs and to promote other professional development efforts within the University.

The Office of Human Resource Development currently offer five dynamic learning opportunities that are designed to reach out to all University employees:

Academic Leadership Series Workshops—Designed for department and program chairs, academic center directors and associate deans and deans.

Departmental Effectiveness Series—Promotes understanding processes that enhance effectiveness in the workplace and networking opportunities.

Manager Supervisor Series—Promotes skills designed specifically for employees who are supervising and/or managing others.

Learning Series—Provides a variety of topics designed to enrich professional and personal development.

Conference for the Office Professional—An annual May/Spring event for all office staff.
