Working Title:
Pediatric cardiologist
Official Title:
PROFESSOR(C20NN) or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR(C30NN)
Degree and area of specialization:
M.D. or equivalent, completion of U.S. pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship programs
  License/certification:
 WI medical licensure; BC in pediatric cardiology or equivalent
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum of 4-7 years as practicing pediatric cardiologist, preferably in an academic setting. Interest in developing or expanding an independent research program also preferred.
Principal duties:
Majority of position will be devoted to development or maintenance of independent research prorgram. Protected time will be provided with an expectation that candidate will either come with extramural funding or will procure it within first 3 years.

Provision of pediatric cardiology clinical services will be approximately 40% of the position, with inpatient, outpatient, outreach and test interpretations from a variety of sources required.

Teaching in clinical setting, classroom, small groups or lectures, to a variety of types of learners is also expected.

The successfull candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.
  Additional Information:
 Candidates for associate or full professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the tenure track.
