 Wisconsin medical license, board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Completion of anesthesiology residency program, and certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Completion of subspecialty fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia.
Principal duties:
Major teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students in the operating room, and didactic sessions. Primary emphasis of teaching will be in the cardiac anesthesia patient care area. Provision of clinical anesthetic care will be primarily, but not exclusively, for cardiac surgical patients (i.e. working in the operating room, plus evening and weekend call) in an anesthesia team model or personally performed anesthesia. Opportunity for participation or to lead clinical research for interested and qualified candidates.

The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service.
  Additional Information:
 For appointment at the Associate Professor (CHS) level, candidate must have sufficient documented academic work to meet appointment requirements to Associate Professor (CHS) within requested time period (UW School of Medicine and Public Health Guidelines for Appointment or Promotion of Clinical Health Sciences Track Faculty to Associate Professor (CHS) or Professor (CHS) ).

A criminal background check will be conducted prior to hiring.
A period of evaluation will be required

Full Time Salary Rate:Minimum $48,072 ANNUAL (12 months)
Plus UW Medical Foundation
Term:This is a renewable appointment.
