Appointment at the Associate or full Professor level will require that candidate's credentials meet criteria for rank per established UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines.
Principal duties:
The Department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a fellowship-trained breast surgeon/surgical oncologist to join its Division of Surgical Oncology. In this role, the selected candidate will serve as the primary breast surgery provider on the Rockford, IL campus of SwedishAmerican Hospital, a division of the University of Wisconsin Health (UW Health) system.

This is an ideal opportunity for an individual interested in developing a robust subspecialty practice in a community setting while maintaining a formal connection to the University of Wisconsin, including the option of a dedicated clinical presence at UW Hospital and Clinics in Madison for the provision of tertiary surgical care. There is also the possibility of expanding the selected individual's practice to include other surgical oncologic diseases. Academic opportunities including training and education are also a component of this position.

In addition to providing a full spectrum of breast surgery care for the Rockford community, the selected candidate will play an integral role in enhancing overall breast services at SwedishAmerican Hospital, including leading the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) accreditation process. To this end, the ideal candidate will be an outstanding clinician with a strong interest in developing and maintaining a successful comprehensive breast program.
