Pediatric Pulmonologist

Degree and area of specialization:
M.D., completion of U.S. pediatric residency and pulmonology fellowship programs
 WI medical licensure, BC/BE in pediatric pulmonology
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Completion of U.S. pediatric residency and pulmonology fellowship programs, interest in academic medicine and development of an independent, funded research program preferred. Experience in academic medicine highly desired.
Principal duties:
Establish or enhance an independent, funded research program, with an expectation that some portion of the candidate's salary will be supported extramurally within the first 3 years.

Provide clinical care to pediatric pulmonology patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting, including interpretation of PFTs and other tests as well as occasional pariticpation in the division's outreach clinics. Provision of teaching to a variety of learners is also an integral part of this position, with much of the teaching occurring within the clinical setting, but some anticipated in the classroom and in small groups.
  Additional Information:
 Candidates for associate professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the tenure track.
