Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
BC/BE neurosurgery. Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship training is preferred.

Academic credentials and experience for appointment at the selected rank. Appointment at rank of Associate Professor (CHS) or Professor (CHS) in this non-tenure track that highlights clinical excellence and teaching, requires meeting criteria for appointment level as defined in School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to associate professor or professor on the Clinical health sciences track.
Principal duties:
Provide pediatric neurosurgery clinical services and research and teaching patient based activities that can be integrated into clinical activities for the School of Medicine and Public Health and UW Health at the American Family Children's Hospital (AFCH), community hospitals and clinics .

Surgery, outpatient clinics and serve as attending on pediatric neurosurgery inpatient and consult services at AFCH, UWHC, community hospitals and clinics.

Participate in department undergraduate, graduate, medical student, resident and fellow education and mentoring programs and clinical research with patient-based activities integrated into the clinical activities.

Participate in regional education programs for community physicians as well as participate and help develop plan to expand pediatric neurosurgery clinical program.

Participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the rank. Candidates at the rank of associate professor (chs) or above will hold a leadership role in the department.

  Additional Information:
 The successful candidate will be committed to working within an active academic department with clinical, teaching and research responsibilities and take an active role in the development of a pediatric neurosurgery clinical and research program.
