| Job Summary: | Professional Technical Education (PTE) is a provider of professional workforce training services within the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Division of Information Technology. PTE provides a comprehensive set of services to UW campuses for online training and technical training solutions. This includes instructional design, development and delivery of training materials. The primary audiences for PTE training services are the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Wisconsin-System and the State of Wisconsin.
This position will primarily focus on instructional design for the development and delivery of online training for UW-System's Human Resources community. The person hired in this position will analyze training needs, design content for adult learners, work with a team in the development of solutions and evaluate effectiveness.
Additionally, this position will develop training materials that support a blended learning approach that includes classroom, web-conference and performance support learning materials. The individual hired into this position will work with current software such as Adobe Captivate, Desire2Learn, Articulate, Adobe Connect and Blackboard Collaborate.
Characteristics critical for success in this position are experience or aptitude in instructional design, a record of being a strong team player, experience working with adult learners who are active in the workforce, good time management skills and excellent communication skills such as speaking, writing, and interpersonal communications.
As part of this initiative, this position would: * Complete instructional design models for online training delivery * Analyze, design and develop blended learning training materials * Create and deliver training content using instructional technology such as Adobe Captivate, Desire2Learn, Oracle's User Productivity Kits (UPK), and Adobe Connect * Develop performance support/knowledge base documentation * Communicate with UW-System campus workforce professionals * Collaborate and thrive in a team based approach
