LECTURER IN ECONOMICS

Official title:

SENIOR LECTURER(D80BN) or LECTURER(D80DN)

Degree and area of specialization:

Minimum of M.A. in Economics required; Ph.D. is preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

At least five years of teaching experience at the University or College level required.

Principal duties:

Teach and/or develop and teach two courses in economics each semester. Depending of the needs of the department, the successful applicant will be expected to teach principles of micro or macroeconomics, intermediate micro or macroeconomic theory and advanced level electives.

Duties include holding office hours; preparing, administering, and grading homework and exams; supervising the activities of teaching assistants if assigned to the courses.

A criminal background check will be conducted prior to hiring.
A period of evaluation will be required
