Expertise in matrix remodeling and/or Transplant immunobiology with a track record of successful publications in peer reviewed journals, evidence of excellence in teaching and current/recent extramural funding. Candidates for associate professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the tenure track.
Principal duties:
This physician scientist will be expected to engage in active collaborative research in the area of
matrix remodeling and/or transplant immunobiology; obtain/maintain independent extramural funding.
The incumbent will participate in the Department of Medicine, Nephrology Division continuing
professional education and fellowship program activities including teaching fellows and graduate
students. Clinical responsibilities will include one half-day clinic per week at UW Health approved
locations. Appointment at the associate professor rank may include leadership participation at the
Division and/or department level. University and community service will be expected as
appropriate.
