Ph.D. in cognitive or biological sciences.

At least 2 years of research experience studying infant language learning.
Knowledge of foreign
language strongly
preferred.
Principal duties:
The Infant Learning Lab at the Waisman Center studies how humans learn. In particular, what kinds
of learning mechanisms do humans possess that allow them to discover structure in their
environments. The primary focus of the lab is on infant language learning, though we also
investigate other forms of learning that occur early in life.
The Researcher will design
and run studies focused on infant language acquisition in both English and other languages. S/he
will provide technical expertise, solving problems in research, development, and applications by
applying discipline-related skills. The incumbent will also assist in the development of grant
applications and the preparation and presentation of reports of research results, and in informal
instruction of research students.
