Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or closely related field.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
The department's strategic focus is on addressing challenges in the areas of Energy, Information,
and Health. Expertise impacting these cross-disciplinary themes are needed in power engineering
including power electronics and power systems; electrical machines and electromechanical devices;
renewable energy conversion technologies; energy scavenging; computer architecture and networking;
MEMS and nanotechnologies; bioelectronics; advanced semiconductor and photonic devices including
those for high power or high temperature operation; quantum computation/communications; plasma
engineering; RF/microwave/THz technology.
Candidate for Associate and Full Professor will
possess academic credentials to qualify for a tenured faculty appointment at UW-Madison. The

Principal duties:
Develop and direct a funded research program and a strong record of scholarly publication, demonstrate excellent teaching performance, and contribute to professional and public service. Specifically, teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses; supervise graduate student research; participate in faculty governance and in departmental and university service.
