PhD in Communication Arts or related field.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
The position is open to those working in the critical/cultural analysis of television and
electronic media with a specialization in at least one of the following: new media, critical
theory, global media, or textual criticism.
Teaching experience at the university or college
level preferred. Candidates for tenured position must have demonstrated excellence in scholarly
research, teaching and
service.
Principal duties:
Scholarship, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and community and professional
service. Teaching responsibilities include both specialized graduate courses and core courses in
the undergraduate curriculum. For a senior appointment, a demonstrable record of excellence in
research, teaching, and service is required.
