PhD in Social work or a related field is required by the start date of the appointment. MSW degree preferred but not required.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
The successful candidate will show evidence for the ability to achieve excellence in a program of scholarly research and the potential for or demonstrated excellence in teaching. University teaching and post-MSW practice experience preferred but not required.
Principal duties:
The School of Social Work seeks candidates for this position with programs of research in any area
of specialization, including but not limited to macro practice, substance abuse, health practice,
and child welfare practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to
research, scholarship, and professional education, as well as competence in addressing issues of
diversity.
Duties will include scholarly research and teaching responsibilities, as well as
University and community
service.
