Degree and area of specialization:
B.S. or B.A. degree required; MS degree preferred. Preference given to degree in Computer Science
or related field with direct business process and software integration exposure. Consideration
given to degree in other field with relevant experience or
certification.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum of 2 years programming data-driven applications. Selected candidate will have working
knowledge of ASP.Net, .NET Framework, VB Script, HTML, XML, SQL, Visual Studio and open-source
tools.
The candidate must have the ability to maintain development of customized
applications supporting the day to day academic and research functions of Executive Education. The
candidate should feel comfortable working closely with faculty on research goals, business
fundamentals, and marketing processes.
The candidate must demonstrate system/network
administration and support responsibilities which include but are not limited to: Active Directory,
IIS, SQL Server 2005, Exchange 2007, Windows XP Professional, Office 2003 and 2007, Cisco Catalyst
switch gear, WLAN hardware, server hardware, Sun Solaris servers, SunRay thin-client systems,
Maestro property management system and a Fujitsu PBX. Additionally, duties will include managing a
backup/disaster recovery disk and tape solution.
The candidate will have the ability to
work independently, innovate, and deliver timely solutions in a priority-driven environment. The
candidate must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong problem solving skills, attention to detail,
and strong communication and documentation
skills.
Principal duties:
As a member of the information systems and technology group for Executive Education you will
develop and maintain data driven applications and reporting for faculty research, financial
tracking, marketing, and product development with special emphasis on performance, accuracy, and
accessibility. You will assist in managing core systems including servers, workstations, and
network hardware and support faculty, staff, and guests on their use and features. You will
consult with faculty and staff on their research and instructional needs and provide them with the
best solutions to further the organization's goals.

Design, develop, implement, and
maintain key academic research databases and applications for faculty and staff. Provide support
for campus electronic data connections and services; perform periodic testing and analysis of
communications and monitor data acquisitions. Provide initiative on web-based development for
internal and external academic outreach projects. Develop and support data query and reporting
tools against research and performance databases.

Production Systems Management and
User Support. - Windows and Unix. Diagnose and resolve system issues. Integrate and build new
systems based on academic functions and purpose. Complete updates to systems in specified time
frames. Support faculty, staff and guests. Maintain backup system and
strategy.

Participate in ongoing improvement of developed applications and customer
services as they relate to the academic and research functions of Executive Education. Develop and
integrate enhancements to systems and processes that align with faculty and staff goals.

Professional Development. Develop professional relationships with faculty and staff and
provide knowledge and assistance in areas of expertise. Participate in ongoing information
technology strategy and policy matters. Participate in self-study and instructor-based training to
develop professional
knowledge.
