Degree and area of specialization:

Master's in Nursing & PhD in Nursing or related field required; post-doctoral training preferred.

License/certification:

RN licensure in Wisconsin required for teaching.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Demonstrated research and teaching experience required. We seek candidates who have an active research agenda, especially research focusing on emerging models of interprofessional health education, evaluation of emerging technologies in nurse education, and the development and testing of innovative model of program delivery. Candidates should have a commitment to a sustained program of research in nursing education, and a commitment to educating nurse leaders in this area. Candidates with programs of research (scholarship) and teaching focusing on use of emerging technologies in nursing education, especially simulation and virtual technology; evaluation in nursing and/or health professions education; teaching/learning strategies in interprofessional education are especially encouraged to apply.

Principal duties:

A full range of research, teaching, and service commensurate with the tenure track position is required. A fundable research program is expected. Responsibilities include teaching at a baccalaureate, master's or doctoral levels of nursing, as well as involvement in continuing education activities; graduate student advising and research mentoring of PhD students; and serving on school and university committees, commensurate with appointment. Qualified candidates will be local or national leaders in their area of expertise.
