Rank will depend on candidate's interests, experience, and academic credentials. Appointment as associate professor or professor will require that the candidate possesses scholarly credentials that meet criteria for tenure appointment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Principal duties:

The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is seeking an outstanding candidate to serve as Chairman for the Division of Sports Medicine. The successful candidate will develop and/or continue a record of excellence scholarly accomplishment, will lead and participate in the research programs of the division of sports medicine, and in the provision of clinical care to sports medicine patients and coverage for UW athletic team(s). S/he will be responsible for resident and medical student teaching conducted by the division.
The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.

Candidates will have a strong clinical and leadership record, including ability to lead, recruit, motivate, and mentor faculty and staff within an academic health care environment.
