WI medical licensure; board certified/board eligible in med/peds
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Completion of U.S. med-peds residency program; clinical experience in an academic setting is preferred. Appointment as associate professor on this non-tenure clinician educator track requires documented credentials appropriate to the rank per established SMPH guidelines for promotion and appointment on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track.
Principal duties:
70% time in clinical care of patients in the newly-developed UW Health med-peds clinic.
20%
time in teaching activities to medical students, residents and other learners. Although most of
the teaching would be anticipated to occur in the clinic setting, other classroom teaching should
be anticipated.
10% time in administrative activities contributing to the ongoing
development of the med-peds clinical program and eventually, a med-peds residency
program.
