Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Completion of U.S. pediatric residency program and neonatology fellowship. Candidates with an interest in research and academic medicine are preferable. Appointment as associate professor requires scholarship that meets criteria for tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Principal duties:
60-70% time spent in development of/continuing an independent research program
30-40% time
spent in clinical care of neonates and teaching activities to medical students, residents and
fellows, and university/public service appropriate to the faculty
rank.
