Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Five or more years experience in department supervision, project management, marketing campaign
development and assessment. Three or more years experience in copywriting or related creative
field.
Principal duties:
Provide operational leadership to the Marketing Services staff of the School of Business. Manage
daily operations and supervise a staff of six academic staff and up to four support staff including
recruitment, training, and evaluation.
Work closely with the Associate Dean to execute
School's brand strategy and marketing plan. Manage marketing research initiatives and supervise
the development of marketing materials including brochures, letters, e-mail communications, ads,
web pages and others; manage marketing program policies and procedures. Work closely with internal
customers and Marketing Services staff to develop, deliver, and analyze diversified marketing and
student recruiting campaigns. Develop and implement annual marketing communications plans for
select program areas. Integrate program area marketing plans to develop School-wide marketing
plan. Coordinate marketing efforts with those of the Executive Education arm of the School of
Business.
Must be able to advise internal customers on best marketing practices, manage
multiple ongoing projects, and work in a deadline-oriented environment. Must be skilled and
experienced in at least one area of creative (e.g., copywriting, art direction and/or web design).
On occasion must be able to assist in creative development (e.g., writing copy,
etc.).
Additional Information:
Direct reporting relationship to the associate dean of Enterprise MBA Programs and Marketing Services.
