BS in Computer Science or equivalent required
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Must have minimum of 3 years UNIX use and programming, and some experience in at least two of the
following areas:
(1) performance profiling tools;
(2) compilers and code
generation;
(3) distributed and parallel computing;
(4) scientific computing
Should
have extensive experience with C and C++ and some experience working on a large software
system.
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Principal duties:
The Paradyn Project in the UW Computer Sciences Department is looking for a new staff programmer to
investigate and develop new technologies in programming instrumentation and profiling.
As a
member of the Paradyn research team, you will work on new techniques in scalable tools and binary
instrumentation technologies, and help port tools to new operating systems and
architectures.
You will participate in the writing of papers and represent the group at
meetings and
conferences.
