MD, specialization in vascular surgery. Board certified or board eligible in vascular surgery.

License/certification:

WI medical license or eligible for.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Rank will depend on candidate's interest and academic credentials. The successful candidate must have credentials that meet criteria for tenure appointment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Principal duties:

Administrative and academic leadership of the section of vascular surgery in the division of general surgery, department of surgery. Successful candidate will lead a group of six academic surgeons providing clinical service at three hospitals (University, Community, and Veterans Administration); oversee an accredited vascular fellowship; direct activities of a vascular lab and clinic, and direct the vascular component of a hospital supported cardiovascular service line. Independent research, which may include surgical ethics, quality and outcomes of surgical care, clinical trials, and basic science research in vascular biology. Teaching of fellows, surgical residents and medical students. The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.
