Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Three years of related experience working in the physical therapy clinical area with pulmonary, peripheral vascular, cardiology and Cardio-thoracic patients. Experience in conducting in-service training or independently teaching is required.
Principal duties:
Seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to teach Physical Therapy 523 "Cardiovascular and Respiratory Aspects of Physical Therapy Treatment". The candidate will teach the methods used by physical therapists in the prevention and physical therapy management of cardiovascular and pulmonary disease and the influence of cardiovascular, pulmonary and metabolic dysfunction on physical therapy treatment of individuals in whom heart and lung disease is not the primary diagnosis or reason for referral. Meet with students twice weekly and use problem-based approaches to facilitate learning.
