Degree and area of specialization:
PhD and/or MD degree with appropriate post-graduate training, and expertise in the general area of stem cells, regenerative medicine or regenerative biology.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Experience should be commensurate with the faculty rank: Assistant, Associate, or full Professor.
Relevant experience should be in the general areas of stem cells, regenerative medicine, or
regenerative biology.
Appointment as Associate Professor or Professor requires meeting criteria
for tenure and rank at UW-Madison and the School of Medicine and Public
Health.
Principal duties:
The position is part of the UW-Madison Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Cluster Hiring
Initiative (http://www.clusters.wisc.edu/clusters/show/42) and represents the third of three
approved faculty positions.
The research program will focus in any of the following
general research areas: adult stem cell biology; regenerative biology; regenerative medicine;
immunology of cellular therapies; or biotechnology focused on stem cells and regenerative medicine.
The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding research credentials and will develop a
vigorous, funded research program. The candidate will also participate in interdisciplinary
interactions and be an active member of the cross campus Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine
Center (http://www.stemcells.wisc.edu). The successful candidate will also have teaching
responsibilities and will participate in professional, public and university service appropriate to
the faculty
rank.
