License/certification:

WI medical license or eligible for.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Rank will depend on candidate's interests and academic credentials. Appointment as associate professor (CHS) or professor (CHS) will require that candidate's credentials meet criteria for rank per established UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines.

Principal duties:

Administrative leadership of the section of Vascular Surgery, Division of General Surgery, Department of Surgery, including oversight of clinical services at three hospitals (University, Community, and Veterans Administration), an accredited vascular fellowship; direct activities of a vascular lab and clinic, and direct the vascular component of a hospital supported cardiovascular service line. Oversight and participation in teaching activities including fellowship, residency and medical student education. May include clinical/translational research endeavors and oversight of such within the section, and opportunities for committee service at the department, school, and institution levels.
