Principal duties:
This position is a part of the Center for Eukaryotic Structural Genomics (CESG), a structural
biology project focused on technology development for production of proteins of bioinformatic and
biomedical interest from eukaryotic genomes and the determination of their three-dimensional
structures by X-ray crystallography or NMR spectroscopy. The position will focus on the deployment
and customization of the Sesame laboratory information management system (LIMS) within CESG, and
will report to the CESG director. The position will be responsible for gathering user requirements
and developing new protocols and revising old protocols such that they capture information needed
for the creation of internal reports and external data depositions and for conducting queries

training in the various facets of the Sesame LIMS. This will require a thorough understanding of
the CESG process and workflow. The position will attend all regular CESG meetings and serve as an
interface between all areas of the project, including executive committee, computing core,
Bioinformatics and the Sesame developers. The position will assist in achieving the goal of
publishing journal articles and eventually a monograph on the Sesame LIMS.
