2 years postdoctoral experience
Principal duties:
Teaching: Major teaching responsibility in veterinary anatomy instruction (either Fundamentals of
Anatomy or large animal anatomy course). This 5 credit course involves lectures and laboratory.
The individual chosen will work with a team of faculty and/or lecturers in providing a quality
anatomy course for the veterinary medical students. The total lecture responsibility is expected to
be between 10-15 lectures in the veterinary histology course and participation in all
labs/discussions (30) and exams. Active participation in graduate education is also
expected.
Research: Conduct an independent, extramurally funded research program in an area
complementary to existing strengths in the Department of Comparative Biosciences and the School of
Veterinary Medicine. Examples include but are not limited to: neuroscience, cardio/respiratory
physiology, muscle biology, cancer biology, cell signaling, reproductive biology and comparative
medicine.
Approximate distribution of duties : 50 to 60% research, 30 to 40% teaching, and
10%
service.

Position may be offered on a 12 month basis ($75,000/minium annual salary)
