Degree and area of specialization:
Terminal degree in an appropriate discipline. Ph.D. in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Two years prior experience in tumor ablation research, preferably including experience with tumor ablation devices, computer modeling techniques, and animal models.
Principal duties:
1. Develop a research program in image-guided intervention.
2. Become an independently funded
investigator.
3. Teach image-guided techniques, technology and theory to residents, fellows,
undergraduate and graduate students.
4. Collaborate with investigators in other departments,
preferably Medical Physics and Biomedical/Electrical and Computer Engineering.
5. Oversee
graduate student work in relevant fields of study.
6. Provide service to the university and
department through work in committees and other
organizations.
