Wisconsin medical licensure, BC/BE in psychiatry
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Scholarly credentials to meet criteria for appointment on the CHS track per the SMPH School-wide track guidelines and, for professor or associate professor rank, SMPH promotion/appointment guidelines for CHS track.
Principal duties:
An MD clinician with experience in the treatment of psychiatric disorders. Disease states of
highest strategic emphasis include Depression, Bipolar Illness, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry,
and Schizophrenia. Candidate should be able to bridge their clinical practice to link with
existing departmental research programs and in time develop a regional referral pattern that will
identify UW as a leader in their sub-speciality. Teaching and supervision of general psychiatry
residents, fellows, interns and postdoctoral trainees, medical students and graduate students as
assigned. Service on Department and School-wide committees as
appropriate.
