Degree and area of specialization:

M.D. and/or PhD. Board eligible or board certified in psychiatry.

License/certification:

MD Must be able to obtain Wisconsin medical Licensure

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Experience and credentials necessary to meet school-wide criteria for the CHS track rank per established SMPH guidelines. Functional MRI researcher with experience performing studies focused on the mechanisms underlying psychopathology. Experience in the areas of anxiety, schizophrenia, or affective disorders is especially valued.

Principal duties:


Teaching and supervision of general psychiatry residents, fellows, interns and postdoctoral trainees, medical students and graduate students as assigned. Clinical work in areas such as anxiety, schizophrenia, or affective disorders. It is preferred that the applicant have a track record of successful publications in the area of imaging and demonstrate the ability to be a productive member of a growing research team. Joint appointments may be available in the Departments of Radiology and / or Medical Physics. The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public and university service appropriate to the CHS rank.
