Fellowship training in endovascular. Appointment at rank of professor or associate professor requires meeting criteria for tenure appointment at UW-Madison.
Principal duties:
This position will be responsible for patient care and surgery, teaching and clinical research
responsibilities including the training of medical students, house staff and fellows as part of the
ENIN program. The position will provide neurosurgical endovascular services for UW Health and will
be a key collaborator with other faculty in the endovascular, neuroradiology and stroke services at
UWHC.
Successful candidates will develop new teaching programs as well as enhance existing
programs; attract patient referrals to the service; develop a plan to present information
concerning neurosurgery statewide; serve as attending on neurosurgery inpatient and consult service
and outpatient clinics; and participate in clinical activities include endovascular, coiling,
carotid stenting, embolization of AVMs/tumors, angioplasty procedures, open surgery and clinics at
UWHC, VA Hospital, Meriter Hospital and affiliated clinics. Submission of applications for
extramural funding and presentation of results at meetings and in publications is
expected.
The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, and
university service appropriate to the faculty
rank.
