Ph.D. or equivalent required prior to start of appointment.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Teaching experience preferred. For tenured appointments, candidates must have demonstrated excellence in scholarly research, teaching, and service.
Principal duties:
Successful candidates should display the potential to collaborate with other scholars while maintaining their own independent research. He or she will teach at the introductory, undergraduate, graduate, and/or professional levels; develop new courses; advise students; and participate in the governance of the American Indian Studies Program and their respective department, College and the University. University and community service will be expected as appropriate. Candidates for tenured appointments must have demonstrated excellence in scholarly research, teaching, and service.
Additional Information:
Candidates' tenure home will be established in departments appropriate to their background and qualfications.
