Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Completion of residency program in Ophthalmology and a fellowship with focus on glaucoma. Board certified/board eligible in Ophthalmology. Candidates for associate professor rank must meet criteria for tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Principal duties:
This position is an integral part in the department's existing glaucoma research, education and
clinical group.
- Develop and establish an independent research program
- Pursue and
obtain extramurally funded research program
- Provide clinical and surgical care of
patients
- Participate in Department and Medical School committees as assigned
- Teach
medical students, residents, and fellows
-Perform professional, university and community service
as
appropriate
