Degree and area of specialization:

Master's in Nursing & PhD in Nursing or related field required; post-doctoral training preferred. Expertise in psych-mental health

License/certification:

RN licensure in Wisconsin required for teaching.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Demonstrated research and teaching experience required. We seek candidates who have an active research agenda in psychiatric-mental health nursing focusing on the care of children or adults. Candidates should have a commitment to a sustained program of research in psychiatric-mental health nursing and a commitment to educating nurse leaders in this area.

Principal duties:

A full range of research, teaching, and service commensurate with the tenure track position is required. A fundable research program is expected. Responsibilities include teaching at a baccalaureate, master's or doctoral levels of nursing, as well as involvement in continuing education activities; graduate student advising and research mentoring of PhD students; and serving on school and university committees, commensurate with appointment. Qualified candidates will be local or national leaders in their area of expertise.
