Cardiology faculty position - Ion Channels Research

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR(C30NN) or ASSISTANT PROFESSOR(C40NN)
Degree and area of specialization:
PhD in Physiology, Biophysicis or Molecular Biology.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum of 3-4 years postdoctoral experience required. Candidates for associate professor rank
must meet critiera for tenure appointment at
UW-Madison.
Principal duties:
Research will focus on aspects of cellular or molecular electrophysiology involving cardiac ion
channels and cell signaling that will complement existing research programs (approx 80% effort)
The successful candidate will develop and/or continue a robust research program attracting
extramural funding and participate in the department's and/or other teaching programs. The
successful candidate will also participate in professional, public and university service
appropriate to the faculty
rank.
Additional Information:
An affiliate appointment in the Department of Physiology will be considered if appropriate for the successful candidate.
