Authorization to Hire Page 2 1. Page 2 NOTE: If the Transaction being created is an LTE, please see the LTE screens Help. Working Title - Defaults to match Title. May be overwritten to reflect subtitle. If there are more than one title for the vacancy, Working Title should be a value generalized to reflect all titles entered; for example, if the vacancy is for 'Custodian 2' or 'Custodian 3', the Working Title could be 'Custodian' or something else other than 'Custodian 2' or 'Custodian 3' specifically. [TAB]. Appt (Appointment) Type - Press [q] and highlight to make selection for Appointment Type or enter value if known. [TAB]. FTE % - Defaults to 100%. Must match [Work Schedule]. Overwrite if necessary. [TAB]. New/Replace/Ch(ange) - Press [q] and highlight to make selection or enter value if known. [TAB]. Fund - Enter a three-digit funding source for the position (i.e., 101, 144). If more than one funding source desired, press [MORE], click on a blank field and enter next funding source, press close. [TAB]. Area of Comp(etition) - Press [q] for list of values and select by highlighting and press [O.K.] or enter value if known. [TAB] If vacancy is [New], [Prior Incumbent] and [Prior Title Code] will be bypassed. This field can be filled in only by division or CPO HR staff. Area of Competition does not apply to and cannot be entered for project positions. Prior Incumbent - Mandatory field if [New/Replace/Ch] equals [Replace] or [Change]. Enter First Name first, then Last Name, of the prior incumbent. If [New], this field will be bypassed. [TAB]. Prior Title Code - Title code of prior incumbent. If vacancy is [Change], the title code must be entered. [TAB]. Project Justification (available only for Project Positions) - Press button to open the Project Justification screen. Building Code - The address where the position is located. Not mandatory. Press [q] and highlight to make selection or enter value if known. (Also see selection list filter.) Can [TAB] directly to freeform address. Freeform Address - Mandatory field. The full address, city, state, zip, where the position is located. Will automatically populate if [Building Code] is entered. [TAB] through all address fields to [Contact]. County - Defaults to 13 Dane. If employment area is other than 13, press [q] for list of values or enter value if known. [TAB]. Contact - Freeform entry. Enter the name of the contact person, First name, Last name. [TAB]. Telephone - Enter the telephone number of the contact person. You may use the 5 digit Centrex format and [TAB] which will automatically complete the full 10 digits. TTY Phone - Will default to a central number. If you have a TTY telephone, enter the number here. [TAB]. Email - Enter the Contact's email address. [TAB]. Work Schedule - Must match [FTE %]. Press [q] and make selection or enter value if known. Multiple schedules allowed. Press [MORE] and [TAB] to a blank field and enter value if known. If unknown, press [q] highlight to make selection, press [O.K.] then [CLOSE]. The [MORE] button will be highlighted to indicate multiple entries. [TAB]. Schedule Comment - Not mandatory, but must be completed for part-time or other than standard schedule of 7:45am - 4:30pm. May add additional schedule-related comments. For a full screen, press [EDIT] button. [SEARCH] is not enabled. Press [O.K.]when done. [TAB]. Requirements - Not mandatory. Press [q] and make selection or enter value if known. If more than one entry desired, press [MORE] button, [TAB] to a blank field, press [q] button and make selection. The [MORE] button will be highlighted to indicate multiple entries. [TAB]. Additional Requirements - Not mandatory. May enter additional comments about the position’s requirements. For a full screen, press [EDIT] button. [SEARCH] is not enabled. Press [O.K.] when done. [TAB]. Related Web Link - A complete URL (including http:// if appropriate) to a websit with information related to the vacancy (use forward slashes). Post on Web - Indicates whether this vacancy should be posted on the web page. Under Caregiver Law - Indicates if the position is under the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check Law. Note: Requirements and Additional Requirements will display on both the vacancy web posting and print on the PD. Therefore, there is no need to duplicate these items in goals, activities or knowedges and skills. Career Executive Positions - When a CHRIS/CERT record is created for a Position Vacancy PD an indicator will be set as to whether the vacancy is for a Career Executive position. This indicator will be displayed on the web posting:
2. Project Positions Please enter: Project funding source, project duration, continuity status (Is this a new project or the continuation of an existing project?) and project justification. NOTE: If you would like to see all the projects for the associated UDDS over the last five years, choose 'Projects For A UDDS' on the Tools Menu and it will take you to the Project View screen.
