Workshops

The next permanent residence workshop is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, 2012 starting at 1:00pm in room 5045 at 21 N. Park Street. Please consult the Permanent Residence section of the IFSS web for detailed information on UW-Madison policies and procedures. Should you need additional information not provided on the web, please contact Jennie Taylor at jtaylor@ohr.wisc.edu.
Applications for Labor Certification for teaching faculty must be filed within 18 months of the INITIAL offer letter. For additional information on UW-Madison policies for filing for permanent residence and general information on the process, please see the IFFS web site: http://www.ohr.wisc.edu/ifss/index.htm.

Because the employing department is very involved in the application process, it is imperative that the department administrator accompany the international faculty or staff member to the workshop. Pre-registration is necessary; to register send an email message to: jtaylor@ohr.wisc.edu, giving your name and department and the name and campus mailing address of your department administrator.

H-1B Workshops
- The next scheduled H-1B workshop is scheduled for Monday, February 20, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm in room 1106 at 21 N. Park Street.
- This workshop is only for the employing department; therefore please do not invite your H-1B beneficiary to join you at the workshop. The beneficiary can call or email me any questions any time.
- Pre-registration is necessary; to register, please send an email message to: mschnetz@ohr.wisc.edu, giving your name and department.
